Government investigators are seeing whether the regional councilor of Lombardy, Nicole Minetti, was involved in helping the prime minister cover up this incident, which supposedly involved a minor from Morocco. The woman who is the alleged victim was a stage performer and dancer. Police have gone through the home and office of Minetti, looking for evidence. Searches of other places have been conducted as well but police have not yet released the names of other people who are possibly involved.

Besides being accused of paying a minor for sex, investigators are checking out claims that Berlusconi tried to help the same Moroccan teen avoid jail time for theft. There are accusations that Berlusconi’s staff told law enforcement officers to release the girl because she was a close relative of the president of Egypt.

This is not the first time that Italy’s prime minister has come under suspicion over sex scandals and possible abuse of power. He has dealt with investigations over bribes, sexual encounters, and problems with his taxes.  Just last year, an important supporter of Berlusconi on the right abandoned the prime minister and urged him to resign because of the ongoing scandals.

Some states have limited the amount of money that individuals, groups, and businesses can contribute to political campaigns. The idea is to eliminate the ability of one person or a handful of people who have significant wealth to “buy” a candidate or election. Some people see this approach as quite effective in limiting who has influence on the electoral process. However, others argue that unless these campaign contribution caps are a part of a broader approach to ethics, they aren’t enough. For example, unless banned by law, individuals and businesses can skirt campaign contribution limits by setting up many separate committees that then can contribute the maximum amount allowed by law to the candidate of choice. In effect, this kind of scheme renders campaign contribution limits meaningless. Those who oppose campaign contribution caps argue that such a system is much more transparent than a system where donors find various ways to get around the contribution limits.

Another way that states have tried to limit corruption is by enacting laws that place limits on gifts from lobbyists to officeholders. Some states have a limit on how much money lobbyists can spend on legislators in a given time frame. These measures are aimed at curbing lavish dinners and free tickets to professional sporting events. However, lawmakers can get around these limits by forming a caucus or special working group and allowing lobbyists to buy dinner for its members. Most states that allow gifts have some sort of reporting or disclosure requirement so that the public can see who gave what to which elected officials. Some states have adopted outright bans on lobbyist gifts.

These companies keep developers and builders in line. In order for a new development or property to be built, the developers have to go through the property management company. They submit proposals and explain to the management company what will be built, how it will be built, and what function it will serve to the community. This process prevents developers from developing unfit or unsafe buildings in the area.

Developers who do not submit proper proposals or do not listen to what the property management agency says could face serious consequences. They also have the ability to fine and not permit the developers to continue building on the land that they wish to develop. The global health fund came about after countries and donors found the United Nations process of distributing aid to be too slow and demanding. The fund is supposed to be an answer to that critique, though it appears it may have been too lax in its standards in dealing with the funds and the countries that received them.

Although various agencies and organizations have been put in place to tame this ogre, it seems that all human efforts have been in vain or perhaps too little. around the world where article of cultural significances are sold in developed countries

such as Australia, Europe, United Sates and others. The illicit trade is possible through

corrupt officials on both sides of the trade borders who let these invaluable pieces to

leak through. Many such illicitly traded properties and antiques make way through many

different look holes and take advantage of the fluctuating reporting services at the source

and the destination. There is no official or even an unofficial estimate of the number of

articles that are smuggled into European countries from countries such as Egypt, china and

other historically rich civilizations. There is a huge difference in the exported articles

and imported articles which when analyzed show the startling fact about the high rates of

smuggling involved which is aided by the officials who run things on the side of the

historically rich countries. Thou the widely used corruption tools do not help in finding

these micro corruption network. Corruption in exports and imports of antiquities is also

widely prevalent between developed countries where high cost antiquities are smuggled as

low cost stone structures. There has to be a proper means of measuring this corruption

practices and curb them. More transparency has to be brought about into the exports and

imports so that any kind of smuggling is stopped and the goods taken into custody. Better

communication between both sides is also very important in this case.

Fraud of this nature often begins when a physical credit card is lost or stolen. If a card is not reported lost or stolen, the account is still considered active. A thief may use the credit card for days, weeks or even months before a cardholder knows what has happened. Various purchases can be made–perhaps a pair of running shoes at a sporting goods store, or a five-course meal at a fancy restaurant–and a cardholder may not know of any fraudulent use until he or she receives their billing statement.

When you are dealing with a business, and the business appears to have legitimate business cards, flyers, letterheads, envelopes and other documents, this is a good sign that the business is in good standing. There are other things that you can do as well, however. For example, you can check with the BBB or Better Business Bureau to find out if anyone has ever lodged a complaint about the business. You can also perform an internet search for the name of the company and words like “legitimate” or “scam” to see what comes up. If the business is fraudulent, the internet will have something to say about it.

It is vitally important that you only work with businesses that are legitimate. Doing business with fraudulent businesses only gives those fraudulent companies more reasons to keep defrauding people and other companies. Although it can be hard to find out which businesses are legitimate and which are not, this is an important process in making sure that you only do business with companies that deserve your business and not the ones that do not. Doing business with legitimate companies is the right way to support true business people rather than fraudsters.

Let’s define some words. Consumerism: The concept that expanding consumption of goods is advantageous to the economy. Preoccupation with or emphasis on consuming goods. In other words, believing that using things up is healthy for the system in which we thrive. Let’s go further. Two words that are synonyms for preoccupation: fixation and obsession. Obsession: to dominate or excessively preoccupy the thoughts, feelings, or desires of; haunt.

Consumers are haunted to consume. Excessive consumption happens to match the definition for greed: excessive or rapacious desire, esp. for wealth or possessions; avarice; covetousness.

The world economy is based entirely on greed. Oh. Really? Did your thinking become just a bit clearer on the subject? Are you climbing out from under your rock called delusion? The system you support is based on greed. What does that tell you about those most driven to lead in this system? Do you buy the idea that they are in their ivory towers to give? Think again and wise up.

Marx is not a very popular subject in this world today. That’s because his ideals were twisted by greed. Marxism was not evil. The twisted use of it was. Ironically, those countries that professed to be communist eventually turned to what Lenin despised the most. Capitalistic Fascism. Too harsh? Too radical for your blood? Did it wake you up just a little bit?

There are two basic extremes in the universe: Black and White. To neutralize them means the end of all that is. How do you keep the two extremes without becoming unhealthy? By accepting that both are good for each other and that one alone is death.

If you draw a circle and place Communism on one side and Capitalism on the other, it is much like the symbol for Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang represents the constant battle between black and white and the balance that must be struck to allow both to live. Only one act has ever been proven to allow balance of both without one destroying the other: Giving. Too tough to swallow? Oh, OK. Go back under your rock now.

When you were a child, your dad warned you about things like electrical sockets and hot burners. To sink it in, he may have scolded you firmly or even slapped your hand when you came anywhere near those items. The behavior modification finally worked. You stayed away.

A few years later the same warnings came about sharp knives with a voice that was similar to the one that slapped your hand over the electrical receptacle. You remembered that well. That same parental warning system fired off at intervals over situations surrounding bicycles, traffic, and those kids who were always getting in trouble.

Ten years later, your dad, who was also a track coach, tried to give you some extra training on the weekend. It lasted five minutes. His coaching voice was the exact voice he used when you reached for the electrical receptacle. The training was complete. No matter how much logic and insight you had, you could not override the immediate reaction to that tone of voice. You even went to a track practice when he coached. You saw the kids reacting positively to the commanding boom. They didn’t hide and run. They became cohesive and bonded as a group. That’s what coaches do, right? Not for you. You went back to the car and sat it out there.

It’s now thirty years later. You are listening to the news. A broadcast is doing it again: releasing another barrage of information concerning a possible terrorist attack. You know in your logical mind that it’s a ruse. You realize that fear is the number one tactic used by corrupt governments to keep the average person in line and not questioning. The news angers you so you turn it off.

As you are walking to the store, you remember all the history you read about manipulations of the human mind created to make people think they were in danger when there was no danger. Shaking your head, you mutter to yourself. “It’s all crap.” You pick up the extra deadbolt for the door, pay for it, and wander home again.

Loan modification is a modification to a running loan. It is made by a lender when a request is made by the buyer. The buyer will cite reasons for the inability to pay the loan on a long-term basis. Loan modification is a process that reduces the rate of interest of the existing loan. Look it up in at least three sources! You are up and running.

Librarians are trained to do research, so you go to the top for answers! That will insure you get the right answers. You find the librarian more than helpful. An hour later you have found your answer in a dozen books. All the stories differ to a certain degree but the basics of the story match. One of them states that Stalin stood in the freezing cold of Moscow speaking to the people, bluntly telling them that if you take from the people every method they have to take care of themselves, when you offer them a scrap, they welcome the scrap warmly. The chicken? It was freezing and snuggled inside of Stalin’s coat, the chicken’s ability to take care of itself, gone.

Last week the European ministers of sport passed a undisputed resolution to ask council of

Europe to set up an international agency to fight corruption in sport. This is in response

news. However, there are a few signs that things will be different this time around. This

for the widespread adoption of a suitable political resolve among Irish and European

politicians. The Slovenian anti corruption agency head Drago Kos is working hard to gain

support from the anti corruption agencies of various countries in Europe. So far it seems

like he is doing a great job of convincing every one. It is showing signs of increasing

participation with many agencies coming forwards with their interest in taking part. But

this time the distance they have come ahead so far, it will not be easy to go back and take

a U-turn. Any disagreement will cause the bill for the setting up of a International Anti-

Corruption Agency for Sport is riding on the reputation of many great ministers and

governments. The utter disregard to the widespread corruption in sports has made this a

very important agency. This agency will monitor and set up laws that will punish the

guilty. Along with that it will set up rules for player, organizers, governments and

anything else associated with the sport and the respective money will be covered. The

threat of corruption in sports is destroying the spirit of games across countries and the

step that Europe will take will show other countries the way forward.

Problems related to Serbia have again arisen. This time it is considering Sandzak. The European Commission is considering and most probably will object to Serbia’s blocking of Kosovo in economic organization and its problems in Sandzak. Kacin has expressed his concern over this reports of the European commission related to the Serbian development towards the permanent membership in the European Union. It is considering to object to the obstructing of the work of the anti corruption agency. Kacin has also deeply ridiculed and criticized the Serbian government for omissions in the judicature reorganization and lack of freedom of the press.
Kacin said that blocking Kosovo in all regional, European and international economic organizations will have calamitous results of unimaginable scale for the already dead economies of both Serbia and Kosovo. The government of Belgrade must immediately improve the way it is dealing with the Sandzak situation.
History has been the proof of Serbia being its own worst enemy. It is frustrating for the citizens of Serbia. But it is advantageous for politicians who are through bold political decision able to implement the reorganization of the judiciary. Kacin argues that the only difference or similarity between the opposition parties and the ruling parties is the unreliability in the assurance for the development of democracies. This is further crushing the economies of the countries to the extent where they have no choice but to beg in front of other countries in the European Union. Thought the Belgian foreign minister is optimistic and is hoping to push the name of Serbia forward for the European Union seat at the ministerial meeting taking place in Luxembourg. But it is up to countries like United Kingdom, France and other to decide if it can come on board. Till then Serbia can just cross its fingers and pray for the best.

Study everyday life of the American pioneer and life in medieval Europe. Find discussions of what they owned at the time. Log that in your memory and find information related to Native American tribes and do the same study. Then do the same again with the Aboriginal tribes of Australia. Log that in your head as well then get in your car and go to the mall.

Once there, do two things: 1. make note of human behaviors and the clusters in which humans tend to gather. 2. Look at every advertisement sign in the mall.

Take a pad and pen with you. Wander around looking at signs first and jot down the phrases and a brief description of the photos and art. Go back to the food court and get a table near the entrance of the court to the mall. It’s a great way to see almost everyone. They almost all make it to the food court. Take notes while you eat your pizza and cinnamon roll dripping with that mass of gooey white stuff. Also take note of how much you paid for that and what it’s doing to your body.

It’s a good idea to have a partner during research; one who is much different in age than you. Each of you will spot different things. It makes for better work and then one of you can keep researching while the other goes for another box of six of those gooey cinnamon things.

European Parliamentary Assembly council has called on Ukraine to stop allowing the monopolization of powers. Ukrainian news learned this from a resolution of European Parliamentary Assembly council that “the functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine adopted at a session of the assembly on October 5″.
The European Parliamentary Assembly council considers that the merging of power by a newly established administration or a government when realized according to ideal democratic principles is logical, and in many cases even required. However the European Parliamentary Assembly council warns that such consolidation is easily led to the monopolization of powers by a single ruling party, which should be avoided at any cost since it leads to widespread corruption in the country. Monopolization is not idea for the democracy of any government. Monopolization needs to be broken at any cost and to do this the merging of powers need to be avoided. At the same time, the Assembly approves the consolidation of the political stability in Ukraine, since the European Parliamentary Assembly council judges political stability as an indispensable tool for consolidating democracy in Ukraine or any other country for that matter.
The European Parliamentary Assembly council echoes that the way to consolidate a democracy and make it long lasting is by separating powers decisively. Powers need to be kept in check and control between various branches of government, and these are only possible if the opposition parties keep the other government in its toes at all times. It is hoped that he bringing back of democracy to Ukraine will cause a complete reform of the constitution. The reports of democratic rights being curbed have been reaching the European Parliamentary Assembly council for a while and it is a cause for concern which can trigger into complete chaos and political instability.

PR management involves keeping the company in the news for some reason or another. Companies believe that to be ahead in the race, it is important to be on top of the minds of customers. Though they do not believe in the saying “any publicity is good publicity.” Do you believe that the company you trust is a solid corporate citizen? If your company has been buying press like it was legit news, you have stopped being an honest corporate citizen. These articles have become a major source of income for many news publishers. This has led to the creation of a disgusting practice which is against the whole profession of journalism. It is being practiced through Europe. Along with curbing the growth of free press, it is also losing the peoples trusts in mews articles.
What is the reason? Simply that it is easily available and conveniently applied. It is available, it is effective and it is convenient.Also, there is the well known trick of mentioning a product name in a news story to convert it into an advertisement.

“The economy is destroyed! Bankers, CEO and government official are responsible. They are invulnerable to public scrutiny! They do whatever they want and get away with it! The city put in another set of those cameras that gives you a ticket when you run a yellow. Another way to drain our pockets. People are scared. They gun their cars through the green hoping to avoid that damned camera! One guy in front of me stopped on the green yesterday. Cameras for safety? Ha. Cameras for revenue!”

The man gets up from his lunchroom table, refills his coffee cup and takes another candy bar from the “honor system” vendor box, forgetting to drop in his quarter. His rhetoric continues. “I saw the other day that the garbage disposal is terrible for the environment. People shove their waste into the sewage treatment plants and it plugs up the system costing the tax payers millions to clean up potato peels and rancid pork.” He reaches across the table for another of the brownies that Dave brought to share at lunch and stuffs it in his mouth, mumbling between bites as he pours the rest of the caffeine down his throat. “The company coffee is terrible this year. Anna told me that they cut back on the coffee too and we may not have enough. Guess we have to ration it while Wall Street cleans us out again. Ha! That’s capitalism!”

The lunch buzzer blares as the machinists pack up their sack lunches and go for round two of another 12 hour shift. They do six of these shifts a week. Dave takes the empty pan with him in silence.

This is an average scenario. Every work place has at least one of these guys who is intent on digging up and placing in your face every possible negative on the planet. He has done his research and he is correct on all levels. He knows his stuff . . . and he does nothing about it.

Can you change corporate alone? Not a chance. Can you make one person’s life more bearable tomorrow?

When the economy is in a crisis and everything about the future seems uncertain, wise investments are wonderful insurance against tumultuous financial times. Work at home and stay at home moms, who are already highly invested in their children, have to be conscious of the future…which never stops approaching. Muni bond yields are frighteningly low right now, but that doesn’t mean investors should give up on muni bonds completely.

Muni bond yields are down, it’s true, but the amount of municipal bond defaults are also very low. True to form, municipal bonds continue to be a very low-risk investment. Buying bonds does not require playing the market or learning all about stocks. Muni bonds work similar to savings accounts, allowing work at home and stay at home moms to invest in the future with little risk and almost no extra effort whatsoever.

It’s incredibly scary to invest money, particularly when the economy itself seems uncertain at best. But the financial world will always be somewhat unstable, and there is rarely one “right” way to prepare for the future. Low-risk investments like municipal bonds are a smart long-term investment; bond yields are likely to go on the upswing again. You will likely never find out the true odds because the financial world has a monopoly on the first fifty pages of Google on that subject.

If you give a thousand dollar bill to your broker and tell him it’s the only thousand you have to invest, he will likely get you to place it in a mutual fund. Most those guys have your best interest in mind. That’s a plus for you. What are your odds of getting rich doing this with your hard earned thousand dollar bill?

There are countless get rich quick “gifting programs” on the internet today. Thousands of them tell you that you can earn four grand a month doing nothing. “Just send me the money!” Sounds vaguely like the stock market.

A battery works because there are negative ions on one side and positive ions on the other. They are naturally attracted to each other so as they cross the barrier of acid, the movement creates charge. Voila! Electricity. Batteries work on a rule of diminishing returns. The initial exchange of ions is powerful, but as the crossing continues, the battery loses its ability to create power as the ions neutralize in the middle. It’s called equilibrium.

Bankers knew this. Bank on it. The stock market is a battery. Equilibrium was a guarantee. That’s why so many bankers took the money and ran in the last few years. You were the syringe. You got burned in the battery acid.

Often parents want to teach their children certain things and find themselves unable to motivate the children into action. Impatience often pushes the parent into using tools of a questionable nature to entice the child into responding. Pay-offs are the norm. Even school districts teach this “incentive program” to their teachers. Education colleges teach behavior modification techniques. Some students shudder at the process of comparing a human student to Pavlov’s dogs, but they ingest and during their first year of teaching a monstrous third grade classroom, they buckle and do as taught: give rewards at unmeasured and varied intervals. When the student does not know when the prize might be given next, the student will most often do as told. Expectation is a primary motivator of the human mind.

Mom’s take their daughters to dinner and desert for every “A” on the report card. Kindergarten teachers give an M & M to the student who turns in the subtraction lesson complete. Companies give barbeques twice a year to their employees as an “ata-boy”. The savvy companies also proved the best coffee, donuts every Thursday morning, and high-quality office chairs to their office personnel. Why these basic payoffs while their employees are so underpaid that they can’t pay their rent? Like teachers and parents, managers discovered that a human will react more quickly and with the greatest output when the brain stem is activated. M & Ms, doughnuts, coffee and cozy chairs all represent immediate comfort and gratification.

Huge amounts of people never step out of brain stem reaction and into frontal lobe thinking. That’s why they can be contained so easily. That’s why governments so easily control the masses using fear and immediate pay offs, ignoring the more costly fundamental needs of their populace. Leaders know the weaknesses of people. Corruption 101: On Activating the Brain Stem.

The amount of energy it takes to move thought from carnal to wisdom is minuscule. The effect of not doing so is immeasurable. You had to step out of the brain stem to read this. How long will you stay there?

Anyone can look up the word corruption and understand the meaning . The question to ask: why do adults and even most children know that word so easily without giving it a second thought?

Don’t read any further. Give it a chance to sink in. Go look at the trees. Take a walk and get it totally out of your head. Play Frisbee with the dog. Forget you read the first two sentences but leave this article up on the computer and come back to it when you’re done.

Nope! Not yet. You took your walk. Before you settle down to read this, get a cup of coffee or maybe the herbal tea that relaxes you. Maybe grab a Twinkie or if you are in the mood for food instead, an apple. Then you can sit in comfort to read the rest.

That was why the walk. If you had your dog with you, all the better, because he sees better than you do. He plays. That cannot be defined, given a price or judged. He is happy to be with you. That’s all he ever really needed: your love.

What is corruption? It is any step away from the simplest truths of life. It is an act based on delusion that represents itself as truth. The dog knows better. So should you.

Baseball seems like a meaningless sport. That’s what makes it fun. However, seeing baseball as meaningless shows a lack of human understanding. Baseball naturally evolved to test the player. That’s where the genius in the sport lies.

The path baseball takes is circular: to win you have to end up where you started. That is the first piece of genius. Accidental though that plan may have been, the circular design represents everything in the universe. Stick-ball players inherently knew this.

The second piece of genius is the fact that it is the defense that controls the ball. This is highly unusual for a sport that depends on the ball for points. If you are the offense, touch the ball and you lose. Oddly enough this is a reflection of human society and how selfish corruption creates loss. Mind twist? Not at all.

From the moment you are born, you wake up to an external world that blinds the senses to your inner workings. People tend desire control of the ball so that they can control their lives. In the process they find that if they control the ball, they control others as well. It’s a breeding ground for selfishness and eventually leads to behaviors that create a narrow path toward corruption, bribes, and human manipulation created for self-gain. Uncontrolled self-gain creates complete collapse in the end

Understanding baseball can correct this view very quickly. Play the game once to find that home plate is not only the ending place but the beginning as well. Winning begins and ends at home. Winning is developed from internal strength and not from owning the ball. In baseball, if you own the ball, it means your team created three outs: you lost your turn up to bat. Own the ball and you lose. Give it away and you win. The circle completes itself when you find yourself at home plate where you began, owning nothing yet having won that moment by purposely giving the ball to the opposing team. Something to think about next time you want to grab at the expense of another.

Corruption is generally black and white without vision of a global result. So blind, in fact, is the process of often multi-layered thinking, that the outcome is inevitably bad for the one instigating the act. The problem with the devised layers created by corruption is the fact that the aim points in only one direction, eliminating the opportunity for change, growth or the ability to see possible flaws in the design. Consequently, what is supposedly for the good of the one winning with no concern for cost to others often results in the destruction of the individual who devised the linear path. Corruption is then action taken without thought or regard for any available course other than that which meets an immediate and blind need. Corruption includes all acts pointed toward a singular goal that gives license to any action that helps the individual meet that goal and without concern for damage to self or others. Does this sound reminiscent a pubescent child?

Unlike the pubescent child, wisdom generally sits quietly, watching nothing and seeing everything. Wisdom only acts once all outcomes are perceived and almost always wisdom never acts alone but as a whole and for the whole. Thus, it is impossible for wisdom to be linear, single minded or without concern for larger picture. Corruption? It is the opposite of wisdom. When does this kind of thinking take full blossom? Usually around age thirteen, once the hormones take over control of the mind. Ask any junior high teacher. What does that tell you about the corporate giants whose focus in life is in a singular and often destructive direction? Hormone therapy may be needed.

Think Twice

Possessing numerous credit cards is normally fine, but if the bills on all of them are unpaid, you are in for big trouble. A perfect customer for a credit card company is someone who has reached the credit limit of the card and pays only the minimum amount on the outstanding bill. Thus, every time you are swiping your credit card, think twice whether you really need the purchase you are making. If you are a shopaholic, get help from professionals.

If you have already made mistakes and fallen into a debt trap, it is essential to take steps to come out of it. Debt consolidation is the best method for this. Then the two of you can celebrate the fact that you are miserable debaters but damned good parents. The good parents don’t have to debate. They already know the truth and won’t allow for the joust. Their kids also live integrity.

Giving is a lot more fun than taking. When was the last time you were not able to make yourself smile when you saw the face of a four year old child receiving a double-scoop ice cream cone? The child definitely enjoyed the gift, but any adult who appreciates kids will tell you that these events of giving stick. They changes who you are.

Taking fulfills needs but often the needs are there due to mind altering situations in life that provided you with the impetus to take. In other words the needs are false. Taking occurs only when there is pain involved. You won’t take when you are full of love, happy, and ultimately satisfied with who you are. It’s not natural if you are a stable person.

Counter that. If you are a stable person and your life is suddenly dissolved into a frenzy of loss, the brain stem takes over and you are no longer you. It is then normal to take. It’s called animal instinct to survive under derisive conditions. Consequently normal can have two opposing meanings. Normal under what conditions?

Western society was primarily built on doing for self. It’s not healthy according to the standards of those who have the ability to think for themselves completely enough to see that they are not separated from the rest of society. However, business practices, theories and many colleges that teach business still depend on the idea that business works best under competition and under competition the number one rule is take. Knowing this, one realizes the controversial world that we live in teaches two opposing philosophies simultaneously: Good people give. Successful people take. This has created a delusional outlook among most, thinking that they are good people as they practice the capitalistic norm. Schizophrenia ensues. Society is sick. The human mind has a habit of self-punishment when it feels it is doing something wrong. It’s a common psychological malady.

What has caused the schizophrenic condition of society? People. Who is responsible for finding health again? Watch the kid with the ice cream. It’ll come to you.

Amplitude is a measurement of power. You have amplitude: emotional, physical, and mental. You are energy. You make decisions every day about how to use that energy. When you are born and raised in a society that breeds capitalistic enterprises built on the fear and loss of others, you are trained from the beginning to protect yourself from loses, including losses that never occur. This sets up frenzy in the general population, ripe for picking. So who are you to the manipulative few who have the physical wherewithal to take at a whim? Amplified fodder. Do they need to create a true disaster to make you give what should never be given? Not at all. You already have your pockets turned out in an effort to avoid the pain that comes with the imagined fear. You accepted the bribe before it happened.

How powerful is fear? It is worth a fortune to those intent on taking without concern for the final outcome. Without fear, the merchants of distress have no power. The manipulation fails, the bribe never occurs. Those who play the power game will never give up these tactics. To expect otherwise is foolish. However, your own clarity of mind can move the corrupt actions of those in power one step further from success. Fear is only as powerful as you allow it to be. Giving it away fuels the fear merchants. How much are you willing to pay them today?

A year later you have worked so hard on the violin, the keyboards and the guitar that you have become the chromatic scales. You don’t have to think anymore when you play. You can pick up just about any instrument and you understand how it wants to be played. It has become a natural part of you. You think back about the garage band that never got off the ground and you realize that the thing that made you expand your skills was the drive called ego. You wanted to be accepted.

There was a time when your need for acceptance drove you, but somewhere in your studies, the true passion for music blossomed and the ego no longer needed to be stroked. You were fulfilled from the inside out. You became a true artist.

Finding yourself internally happy with who you are changes the entire flavor of the world. Tuning the guitar strings for someone else usually results in poor play or total failure at the endeavor. Do it for yourself and the art will last a lifetime because it is no longer ego based. It is supported by your passion for living in that moment.

The last time you went to a mall, you were inundated with pictures designed to ignite your ego. How many articles of clothing did you buy because you were subliminally talked into it? Be honest with yourself. This subtle form of bribery is what keeps malls going.

The next time you vote, look at why you voted the way you did. Were you enticed with promises that can’t be kept by a garage band that is doomed to failure? Wake up to the mind games designed to trap the ego and play your music for you.

To remain centered enough to literally know the arrow to the bull’s eye the archer learns imbalance, its cause, and understands its results. Often, during the warm-up phase of shooting, the immediate few releases will result in perfect bull’s eyes. Once that happens, the mind takes over for awhile: thinking. That is when the shooting falls apart. That is the lesson in Zen archery: being totally aware of everything without thinking about it. Thinking destroys the path and awareness of the full picture collapses. Knowing creates success.

Within the political and business arena, the same outcome ensues when too much thought is given to finer and more personal details, especially when the thought process becomes focused on the individual in a seat of power. As soon as the thinking process kicks in, the global view is lost as are the needs of the population that make up the economic and political arena. Imbalance ensues as a single goal is focused upon so strongly that the draw and anchor are fully out of alignment. Release results in miscalculated decisions based on the needs of a single part instead of the whole. The arrow not only loses direction, the archer falls, taking others with him at the same time. Zen archery is a life time practice. So is leadership. Give the senators a bow.

The savvy find historical patterns and look forward to see the future. It’s circular. Most people hated history classes, doing their best to forget facts that slipped into their minds during class. That’s unfortunate. Most history teachers cannot motivate the student to see the reason for learning history. Many history teachers may not know themselves. However, there is one faction that knows history repeats itself and studies it for that reason. They are the opportunists who know how to think far enough ahead to know to look backwards for the clearest picture of human future.

The most recent historical pendulum swings between fascist governmental behaviors and their opposites. In the 1930s a battle ensued between fascist/capitalistic extremes and a morphed form of Marxism. The end result was what is now called Capitalism and Communism. Both have become so extreme that they are more similar than different and both are in the midst of total collapse.

We live in a time of shift. The systems are bottoming out again. It is a time of great loss. The savvy are watching very carefully, preparing for their next move, because collapse spawns growth. This means that the average citizen has the greatest chance for making change now. You will not have a direct affect on the powers that be. Their corruption is complete and their path will be determined by the slug fest that ensues between card-holding authorities. However, you do have the greatest opportunity to be heard at ground level now, because as the collapse of controlling enterprises continues, people also begin to listen to new voices. The average person has more power now than they have had in the past forty years.

Here is the critical piece: People follow people who act, not talk. If you want change, your power lies in the decisions you make to cause growth, and how open your actions are to aiding the largest portion of the people. Corruption has put a highlight on benevolence. Act at ground level in your community and the response shouldn’t surprise you . . . if you know your history.

Humans grow, change and develop over time. No one moves in the same direction. Diversity creates this. You may not like the downfall of monogamy, but this built in diversity and differences in personal growth can’t be ignored. It just happens.

People love hanging onto tradition. But traditions are also outgrown eventually. People hang onto tradition because it makes them feel safe. Change is scary. In some populations the Christmas tree is sacred stuff! It draws families together in December. The Christmas tree is not that old of an idea. It is a new tradition as history goes. Wikipedia dates traditional decorated Christmas trees to 1476 in Germany. The facts can be argued all day. What can’t be argued is that as far as human history goes, it is a relatively new tradition and it is only seen as such by a small portion of the world society. As people move and society changes, so eventually may this tradition. The traditions that last are the ones based in love and unconditional acceptance of all traditions.

Politics is traditionally corrupt and self-indulgent. Monogamy within that system does not have to remain. It’s OK to change. Change is healthy. You don’t have to believe that the status quo of corrupt selfish idealism has to remain. You have the right to divorce yourself from it and start your own tradition. Being a traditional Republican or Democrat is moving along the path to extinction. Let go. It’s OK to grow. The Christmas tree was once a new idea! It was a beautiful one. You can create another without the selfishness of current systems.

When you refinance a car loan, what you are doing is attempting to alter the terms of your car loan to benefit you in some way. A refinanced car loan should offer you more favorable terms. When you refinance your car loan, the result may be a longer term period, a lower interest rate, or lower monthly payments. The reason is that you are refinancing for a smaller amount than the original cost of the loan, and you have been paying your loan as agreed, so you should be able to get a better interest rate as well.

The Sage Dictionary has a few secondary meaning that are more fun: Under-the-counter; ill-gotten; hot; dirty; embezzled; and an illegal chess move. Let’s work with chess on this one.

If you take the queen with the knight following the lines of the bishop, it’s embezzling the queen, right? If the opposing knight comes at your knight from behind, diagonally across the board in the same bishop manner, then is the act ill-gotten? It depends on the perceived rules of the house. If you are talking about a group of kids who have created their own rules, it may be perfectly legal all the way around. You just didn’t know what they were doing.

In the game of Monopoly, many families put all fines in the middle of the board. When someone hits the no-parking square, that person gets the pot. Look it up in the rule book. It’s not there. But to tens of thousands of families, it is a key part of the game: a chance to regain losses.

Get two families together to play Monopoly and each may have different rules. All see their rules as correct and will fight to the end to support their perceived right. “Perceived right” in the human mind is no different than a fact to the person taking the queen with the knight in a bishop move. It was sanctioned! Knight and Bishop approved! Not arguable.

Where then does the truth lie? Not in the written rules but in the way we treat each other in competitions that a vague. Next time you see a knight in bishop’s clothing stealing the queen, hesitate for a moment before you attack. The corruption of that moment may not be perceived by the offender. Forward attacks are not always the best. Sometimes the true knight’s move that sneaks at angles is appropriate as long as the move opens the eyes of the offender. A knight for a knight will simply bring out more knights. Be gentle. Some adults are kids. They just need to be taught.

Team one: employees who work for minimum wage in retail outlets. Most are young adults between 18 and 25 either going to the local community college or those determined to make it on their own in the business world, working from the ground up. Many of these potential entrepreneurs are forced to work at least two jobs due to poor pay and no benefits. Their primary objective: Sell, sell, sell. . .

Team two: the average person who enters a store holding to the belief that a need exists for a product due to the constant barrage of advertising that they allow to hammer their minds while watching TV eight hours every night. (Nielsen Media Research: The average American sits in front of the TV 8.25 hours every 24 hours.) Their primary objective: Buy, buy, buy . . .

Note about team one. By and large they are also members of team two without realizing it.

Game play rules: There are none.

Game objective: Team two is to satisfy the urge to acquire as much as possible to fill the empty void created by advertising. Team one: Help them.

The elite officers of team one: advertisers who brain wash the general public with TV ads.

The elite officers on team two: The select few who do not watch TV and purchase as needed. Unfortunately these members create a negative point flow for their team.

The referee: Team one. The game is rigged. Team two loses every match. The harder they try to win, the more points team one gets. It’s a coin toss with heads on both sides. To make matters worse, not playing doesn’t work due to team one’s need to stay afloat financially to feed money into the hands of team two for spending on team one!

The name of the game? Consumer Economy. The end result: corruption beyond explanation designed to continue the play of a game that is flawed and will end in total destruction from the get-go. Why? Look at the name of the game: Consume, get it? No? Turn off the TV and go to bed.

While some insurance companies may try to claim that failing eyesight and poor response times are a reason to raise your rates even though you haven’t had an accident or even a parking ticket, other insurance companies will value your business. In fact, many may give you an extra discount for your great driving record and for any organizations that you belong to.

Take the couple into the office and hand them over to the closer. He talks up all the ways to “get you into this car” without a breath, making sure to keep the conversation light and happy. Finance? No problem. Extra warrantee? We got it. Then the two final moves in matador dance as he places the last blades into the bull’s neck for the kill, speaking to whomever he feels is the more artistic first: “And what color do you want?” Then he turns to the more logical partner with the words: “If we can get you into this car for the price you want, will you buy today?”

Ninety percent of lay downs say yes. Many years ago, there was no closer. The salesman was the closer and the paperwork dude at the end. He did the whole deal beginning to end. When it came time to discuss the deal with the manager to get the price the customer wanted, the salesman lifted the phone and called the manager who told dirty jokes on the other end while the salesman played it cool like they were really talking price. The set-up was a thing of beauty. Everyone already knew the bottom line before the cards were dealt. Today it’s the same game; just more specialized with harder to see slights of hand.

When was the last time a politician promised peace, low taxes, drop in crime rate and social needs being the number one agenda? Ask him what dealership he worked for.

Impossible, you say? Think this through:

You don’t break the laws. You pay your taxes. You are a good law abiding member of society but that is where your connection stops. Vote when you are given the chance, but don’t expect the billions that you voted for to go to the transportation system promised to the people. In fact go one step further and assume that the money will be stolen. Don’t do this to create a vindictive heart. Just recognize that the corruption exists on grand scales and live your life according to YOUR standards making sure that your standards are of the highest integrity. That is critical. Read the part about integrity again.

You have children or you know of and have contact with them. Talk to them when you get the chance and see what they think about what is going on in this country. It may surprise you to know that there is a large cross-section of high school kids who are VERY aware of the government moral collapse. Knowing this, what effect does your behavior as an adult have on the upcoming generations?

Children at any age have eyes and ears and they remember what they hear and see. Count on it! EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. Young enough, they are still looking for examples from those older to figure out how to live. YOU are the example. Your integrity or lack thereof pours into them daily.

Last step: Know that those kids are the next set of voters and government officials. Clear enough?

Your subconscious thinking is “It’s your job to fix me so I don’t have to fix myself.” What’s wrong with this picture?

Wake up. You are responsible for fixing you. Your disasters may not be your fault, but it’s your responsibility to fix them. No one is going to do that for you. The more you allow the corrupt enterprises to tell you otherwise, the weaker you become. Period. The weaker you become, not taking your own power to become what you can best be, the stronger the corruption becomes. It’s a simple concept. Stop giving your personal power away.

Here is some food for thought. If businesses need you to stay alive and you don’t like the way they are being run, then you stop depending on the businesses. Eventually, if enough people become independent of the poor businesses, the businesses have two choices: fold or change their practices.

Overt awareness of government decline worldwide has the majority of the population sitting up and taking notice. That’s your queue, folks. The ball is firmly in your court.

Be honest with yourself. How often do you depend on others to take care of your needs? You want someone to bag your groceries, a computer program to pay your bills and a banker to watch your money for you. It’s endless and the more you look at it, including allowing the TV set to kill your pain, the more you realize how lazy you have become in NOT commanding your own life.

Sorry if it hurts. Truth often does. Deal with it. Stop depending on corrupt governments to fix your problems and stop asking criminals to stop crime. If enough people do that, the governments have two choices: fold or change their practices.

This is a choice: wanting causes loss. The scoreboard is blaring the totals.

Collectively, we let the advertisers convinces us we need stuff. We pay them enough money for them to make huge profits even after they spent a thousand billion on ads and then we wonder why the world is corrupt. Humanity paid for it. Humanity bought the corruption that built the business empire which now owns our public officials. We, the people did that.

If you don’t like that fact, change it.

If you sit on the couch a minimum of four hours a day, your back and legs begin to think that this is the normal action they are built to provide for the body. You have trained the back muscles to be stationary, the hamstrings to remain slightly flexed and the quads to remain slightly stretched. Unbalanced. No movement creates stagnation. The more you do this, the more your body complains when you demand movement. So you sit on the couch six hours a day to avoid the pain. Do this long enough and you are in a wheel chair for the rest of your life.

The US population has a thousand billion dollar back ache. How do you stop the pain? Figure it out. You read the words above: You are smart enough to find the answer for yourself. You bought the back ache. Re-teach the muscles.

Decades later, those opposed to ridged thinking took the theories of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics into M-Theory, Chaos and White Holes. In other words, they are answering questions that make Einstein look like Isaac Newton.

The development of physics at CERN is the result of this open-minded action but many people are asking why bother. Give this some thought:

If human minds remained rigid, understanding the universe, both macro and micro, would never have occurred. Fear drove all the scientists in the twentieth century to a certain degree. Not following the rank-and-file of the universities and the industries that provided money for their research, they were out of work. This is why, even to this day, most scientists are unwilling to practice pure research science for the sake of knowledge. It doesn’t pay and they lose their livelihood.

Somehow, there have remained enough open minded people in the world to allow the development of CERN. This is a pretty radical turn away from the norm. It is bucking the capitalistic system.

Why does CERN provide all its research results to the world without placing a costly patent on that information? Some humans have hung onto the ideal called integrity and common good. Wow. They bucked the system and got away with it. They even got the system to pay for it. What does that teach us?

All of us make decisions every day to either maintain the status quo of fear driven by selfish corruption or we make our own path to new wisdom. We have gravity. The people responsible for CERN proved that demanding high ideals eventually creates enough gravitons to bend light. They do pure research.

A graviton is tiny. Yet it is, in part, responsible for turning worlds. Get it? Your actions affect the whole.

Dwight D. Eisenhower, who upon leaving office, warned Americans against the Industrial Military Complex: In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist . . .

John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson followed, along with countless senators and representatives who summarily ignored the warnings. The events that followed proved out Eisenhower’s concern.

Richard Nixon was a combination of brilliant international diplomatic master mixed with an ever fearful child inside the man. It was the fear that got him caught and opened the wound for all to see. THAT is the point, not the dirt that is attached to his history. The trail of this dirt spreads much further and more deeply than Watergate and it spreads across both parties and into the network of capitalistic enterprises of which the Industrial Military Complex is a part.

Here is a point of interest. You can find these studies repeated across the internet:

“In 2003, the IG [Inspector General] reported that out of 113 service contract actions reviewed (with an estimated value of $17.8 billion), at least 98 had one or more problems, including inadequate competition, lack of surveillance, or inadequate price reasonableness determinations.”

“Between 1998 and 2003, the Pentagon awarded more than $47 billion in contracts designated for small businesses to companies that have each earned more than $100 million from Defense Department contracts alone during that six year period.”

The corruption is pervasive and it is imbedded where you punch in for work. Eisenhower’s words warned us. Nixon simply opened the wound for all to see the malignancy.

Naive thinking at best. You didn’t get bananas.

This action, afforded to the multi-billion dollar industry, gave them free license to corrupt at higher levels, squeezing the economy to the tightest that the people could bear. A hand full of zealous men walked away with the prize. They were motivated to do it with unprecedented tax cuts. History in 2010 is proving this out with the collapse of the entire system of which all of us have blindly embraced. We are hugging an empty child called Reaganomics. It died before it was born.

During a Jane Goodall experiment, she set out a large pile of bananas to observe chimpanzee behaviors. She found that the largest, strongest males took the most bananas with the weaker, mostly females and their children, standing back. You may have seen films of this experiment. The aggression that it started due to the overabundance of bananas was clear: chimpanzee trickle down at its best.

If you place enough wealth in front of any human, fear ensues: fear of loss. It seems upside down, but that is how it works. The more one has, the more one wants and the more one fears losing it. Hence, the corporations that were of course run by humans, or should we say primates, began to fear. Fear creates a myriad of misconducts due to irrational thinking. Reaganomics created insanity. We are still paying for it.

How much do we really need? How much are you willing to bleed to attain substance that is perceived as valuable because it is advertized as such? We have the proof of the mistake. . . in bananas.

Try this on for size: you went to the store and found that your favorite men’s shirts were on sale at half off. Your closet is filled with dress shirts in most colors but you never can find a truly green shirt. The store has your green and it’s cheap. You buy two.

As you are walking out of the store, you spot a tie that is a perfect match to the green shirts. You don’t wear ties much, in fact you have hated them all your life. But the tie is pretty. Sold.

After dinner you are scanning the internet and decide to look at the sale on the screen. Suits for half off! You’re there the next morning.

After two months of buying shoes, watches, ties, suits, shirts and other accessories, you walk out of your door daily looking like a prison cell mate who was released and given a million dollars to spend wisely. The wisely was not entirely adhered to.

Congressional members vote for their pay raises. That’s right, they set their own pay scale. It’s a store at half-price eternally! They have the right to turn down the raises and some honestly do. Perhaps they had a Sensei. After twenty years of service but not until age fifty, congressional members earn their pension. In the State of Washington alone, most teachers are not allowed their retirement until age 69.5. Hmmmm. Ever wonder why congress members are dressed so well? It’s not the sales. You lose.

In defense of congress: their pay is a pittance compared to the corporate leaders of the country that own congress. Round two: you lose again.

1. Lie.

2. Steal.

3. Cheat.

4. Give and then take back.

5. Demonstrate the truest love and then walk out without explanation.

6. Give a piece of your heart but never all of it. Stonewalling, or tease, depending on how it’s done.

7. Concluding that you are better than your partner. It’s not the case, you just think this.

8. Find another, and another. . .

9. Remaining silent at the time your partner needs to hear truth from you the most.

10. Give endlessly, to your job, for the sake of your job.

To the men and women of congress: above is a list of ways to steal the hearts of your constituents, break them in half and lose them.

The first two are self explanatory and quite evident of late.

3. Cheating: passing a law by piggy-backing it onto another requiring both pass or none. The piggy backed law is one that would never pass alone. No one is crazy enough to pass it without being bribed. Ah, bribery. That’s number eleven.

4. Give and then take back: laws, money, promises, integrity.

5. Pour your heart out to the nation that you care, take the job, then forget the voters are there.

6. Stonewalling: delaying by refusing to answer questions or cooperate.

7. Once you have the job, your effort goes to building your empire with your upper-class clique.

8. Lose interest in one demographic due to their demands that you pull your weight. So you find another group to woo, and another, and another.

9. Being silent when your partner needs to hear answers. This is a repeat of number six. It happens a lot.

10. Taking office for selfish gain. Showing up in D.C. to collect the pay and bennies. Needs of the people come second. . . or third.

To those members of congress who tell the truth, maintain the highest values, and consistently vote for the needs of the people, you deserve great honor. To the rest, it’s a wonder you have spouses.

Corruption is not something you want to have happen to you. You don’t want to be acted upon in a way that either hurts you due to corruption or makes you corrupt. Most Americans have a keen distaste for this action. Yet, so many Americans have given into the act: It’s there. There is nothing I can do about it so I have to play the game.

That is not entirely true.

Those in power keep power with powerful means to control those who are powerless. Read it again. It’s a mouthful. There is a clich  statement that describes this best: “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” The statement was not originally a clich. It is a quote from John Emerich Edward Dalberg Action. That’s another mouthful. Don’t repeat it.

Open your mind to the fact that power is dangerous at any level and it is often covered in confusing acts, lengthy speeches, and constant lies to entice a wanting public into believing that their fantasies are easy to attain or that safety comes at the cost of losing freedom.

You create your own dreams and losing the freedom to create is the greatest loss. This is a subject that has been long discussed for centuries. It’s not news. How do we counter the corrupt power and the apathy that allows for its growth?

Many Americans do not believe in limits as long as they are willing to work hard enough to get what they want. Sixty-hour weeks are normal for many. In some cases those hours are worked by both parents in families with three or more children.

Question: Is that dream you have driven purely by want or is it there because it is the deepest drive of your heart to create for purposes other than selfish desire? Be careful with this question. It’s a loaded one for the ego. Did you answer it in ten seconds? Greed is tricky stuff. It can lead to rationalizations with corrupt views without ever allowing you to know the realities that got you there.

Did you make a list of reasons for the desires that overwork you and drive you away from your family? You blew it. Your ego took charge again. Put the pen and paper down. Do what it takes to turn off the mind when stress gets too high. Sit under the apple tree in the back yard. Take the long drive to a small town an hour away. Stop thinking. Don’t look for the answer. Let it come to you.

If your desire in life is driven by absolute passion because it’s ‘you’, there will be no list of reasons. It will simply be.

The cars may well vanish. The home will downsize. The joy that you find may be a simple act but profoundly driven into a success that is boundless. Ego died. Greed went away. You no longer fall victim to the false dream offered as a fish hook to work you to death for the wants and needs of the corrupt few who started the false dream in the first place. You’re free.

So why such a big interest in the corruption of big business? Why are there so many laws in place that protect you, the consumer, against the evil practices of shady corporations? The answer is simply that a government can only operate if there is a level of trust with the people. Much the way people trust the government to fulfill municipal bonds, big business is something that the government must monitor or else suffer the possibility that big business will cheat the public and therefore put a big strain on the trust that the people have for the government.

You can rest assured that the government will do everything it can to find corruption and get rid of it in big business so that you do not get scammed. Most companies are trustworthy, but you should keep an eye out for things that do not seem normal or seem to good to be true. The government can’t fix everything so you should be aware of the possibilities. You should always do your research before trusting a company.

The fact that corruption laws exist means that the government knows big businesses can become corrupted and the government is working tirelessly to keep them honest. No business is immune from having employees do unethical things.

Smoke and mirrors is a term that suffices to describe most of life. The Porsche salesman has convinced you that the car he is selling is a good deal as a second car for a family man. Smoke and mirrors and a dense family man. This has become a material world, it’s not about who you are on the inside, its about what you have and how many. Most families end up going broke or are in debt to the numerous payday loans they decided to take out when the new iPhone came out.

How about this: Go to the appliance store and ask to see the refrigerators with a TV set built in the door, and don’t forget to stop by the stereo equipment and get the latest surround sound. Luxuries that could have been put on hold after little Timmy gets his braces. You are only as rich as you think you are, but your bank account has the ultimate say.

- $7,556,660 for grape and wine research. Wine is a popular beverage. In fact, in 2006, per capita U.S. wine consumption was 2.39 gallons while the U.S. exported 404.5 million liters of wine. Total wine sales in 2006 were $27.8 billion. There is no pressing need for tax-payers to pay for this research.

From the 2009 Congressional Pig Book Summary:

$1,791,000 grant to study pig odor: to minimize œmalodorous emissions. No need to say this sound like a load. Sen. Harkin summed up its ridiculous nature succinctly: I’m sure that David Letterman will probably be talking about it and Jay Leno will be talking about it, we’ve got $1.8 million to study why pigs smell.

Some things add up faster than others. Pig odor was a champion at raising the cash and wine industries really needed the extra boost. Emissions of wine fumes must have been running high in congress when that one was passed.

The point of this nonsense? There is no point. That’s the point. You can think you are rich if you are poor. You can find reasons to study animal smells with enough smoke and mirrors and defend it all the way to the bank.

Relax. You really are rich if you see the farce in the above: rich with the integrity that congress lacks.

Corruption usually begins simple enough… just a slight compromise of morals because the benefits outweigh the negatives. So, you tell a small lie or take a little bit of money. There was no harm done, so it’s no big deal. When the opportunity presents itself, it’s easier to take the bait the second time, and the third time, and the fourth time. Each corrupt opportunity offers bigger risks, though. The level of corruption never decreases over time. As long as you allow it, it only grows larger and more in-depth.

Several organizations internationally work specifically to reign in corruption, both in their own respective countries and abroad. The Independent Commission Against Corruption, Anti-Corruption Trust of Southern Africa (ACT-Southern Africa), Group of States Against Corruption (established under the Council of Europe) and Transparency International are just a few of the organizations. In business, the International Chamber of Commerce promotes the Anti-Corruption Commission to encourage self-regulation and confront issues of bribery and extortion, two sources of corruption.

Operating in a system that lacks checks and balances makes corruption more likely. Whether you work in a small business, volunteer in your church, manage employees for a corporation or work in politics, look for ways you can improve accountability. Encourage regular meetings of people involved in the process, follow office procedures and always include a supervisor on your ideas if you have to make a controversial decision. If more than one person can agree on the decision, you take yourself out of the spotlight if there’s ever controversy.
