The corruption in politics is something that has been around as long as people have been allowed to run for office. It’s been hard to take a congressman or some elected official, put them in the middle of people who have money and want power and not expect them to be corrupted. Just the lure of the job and the money that most jobs of a political nature pay it’s easy to see why so many people are corrupted. So there have been smart minds talking and working on a solution to come up with that will ease some of the corruption. It’s a term limit.

To be more specific it’s a one term limit and it makes the most sense. Many politicians aren’t doing their job. Instead of being on kissinsights.com to make sure that they are doing what they can to get reelected. They are seeing their office as a chance to keep the people with the most money and influence happy. While that’s great for their bottom line it’s a problem for the men and women who have worked so hard in order to elect officials that will give them a better life.

So one term would allow elected officials to not have to focus on the campaigns and reelection. Instead they could focus on just doing things for the betterment of their own area and hopefully doing the things they are supposed to do, which is make a difference. That’s what politics should be about.

Corruption Seems to be Hiding Behind Every Corner in Business

While many might have you believe that business as we know it is fair, opportunistic and acceptable, the fact is that this could be further from the truth. While it can be said that not every business is out for blood so to speak, many of the medium to larger businesses are only interested in one thing which is filling their pocket books. The problem with this is that it the employees and consumers are usually the ones who get the raw end of the deal. And people don’t consider this corruption because most of the time, the hidden motives of these companies are just that, hidden from everyone else.

For example, sometimes larger companies will pay their employees minimum wage even though they make a hefty profit from their products. They then make sure to do what they possibly can to avoid paying their employees any perks and they’ll even go so far as to outsource some or all of their work to places where they can pay pennies on the dollar, just so they can keep their precious profits to themselves. In other words, even the lives of the people who make it possible for these profits to exist mean nothing to these companies.

Companies also like to underhandedly make sure that deserved raises and promotions are kept from employees as often as they possibly can, and the companies that have no respect for their employees don’t have any more respect for their customers. Shoddy customer service is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to corruption between companies and consumers. High prices, lack of product choices and inconvenient shopping centers are all other concerns for those aware of the big corruption problem that’s actually found all throughout the world. Almost anywhere can one find something wrong with the system that is being used when it comes to doing business.

Getting Involved in a Political Campaign

It’s always good to get involved in a political campaign if you have a strong interest in politics. There are a few things you should get familiar with before you sign the check to your political donation. There are two types of funding sources for political campaigns: private and public.

Before donating any money whether it is from a check or prepaid credit card, it’s good to decide if you want the donation to be private or public.

”’Private Donations”’
Donating privately can be done online, sending a check to the campaign’s main office or even calling a toll free number. If calling or donating online, you could pay by credit card.

When the quarterly fundraising budgets get reviewed, your donation will be made public. This is done to make sure there’s no bribery or political corruption going on in the campaign. While money donated for political campaigns can’t be used for a tax deduction, you can donate to a non-profit organization that will send the money to a variety or organizations, which includes political ones. Doing this will allow you to have a tax deduction.

”’Public Donations”’
There are multiple ways you can donate to a political campaign. All public donations are public domain and can be used as a tax write-off for a business or an individual.

First, when you fill out your tax return form, check the box allowing the government to donate $1 from you and $1 from a spouse, if there is one.

The next would be to donate to political campaigns that will match a certain amount of private donations. There are several programs that do this in order to keep a certain amount of funding sources to a political campaign.

Getting Into Politics

You’d be surprised at the amount of people who don’t know much about politics, but are interested in learning and getting into the exciting world of politics. The main task is being able to fully understand politics and how it works.

It’s important to do your research beforehand. Find out who the candidates are and pick the one you feel has the same goals and beliefs that you do. Most candidates will have a website so browse around to see about becoming a volunteer during their campaign trail. If needed, contact them via snail mail or contact their main headquarters to show them you’re interested in working for them. They like when volunteers take an initiative.

See if you can arrange to meet with the campaign manager about volunteering at the campaign headquarters, even if you’d just be answering phones, putting up signs or fetching coffee. Let them know you’re really interested in doing any task for the campaign.

It’s important to let them see how you’re different from all the other potential volunteers. Show them you’re committed, dependable, punctual and willing to work late hours. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make it in politics and it’s your job to prove to them you can handle the task at hand.

If you’re asked to come on board and your candidate ends up winning, don’t be afraid to ask for a job. If no job is available, make sure to use them fore references when you’re out looking for another position. This is the perfect way to make incredible contacts- Not to mention the amazing real world experience you just gained.

Getting into politics is a lot of work and takes a lot of time and dedication. If you have what it takes to get into politics, you’re in for one amazing adventure.

Dealing With Office Politics

Politics are everywhere. On the streets, in our schools and even in the workplace. While many people don’t enjoy dealing with office politics, it’s always going to be there-no matter where you work. Many different situations will arise and it’s important to know how to deal with the not-so-fun office politics.

Here are a few steps and tips for those who aren’t the best when it comes to dealing with problems in the workplace.

Don’t take part in office politics. While that seems like a given, many people unintentionally get involved. It’s important to know how to spot it when it’s happening and try your best not to get involved. If you unintentionally get dragged in, don’t encourage any of the unnecessary drama. Just try your best to stay out of it.

Don’t take part in office gossip. This can be tough, and often times, we can’t help but find ourselves gossiping about on another. If you hear someone gossiping about another coworker, quietly leave the room to avoid being part of the group of people gossiping about coworkers. Gossiping is for teenagers and you’re an adult. Don’t take part in this type of activity at work.

If you have a complaint to make, make sure it’s a valid one. Go to the proper people to express your concern. Usually you should contact your main supervisor or someone in human resources. They will know how to handle the situation without creating any drama-hopefully.

You enjoy your job and your career and the best way to stay out of office politics is by excelling at your work. Create some sort of trail as proof that you’ve done your job. If you’re sending out e-mails, make sure to send a copy your boss or supervisor.

It’s important to try and stay out of office politics. Doing so will help make your work life go a lot smoother. Don’t get sucked into the office drama.

Avoiding Office Politics

We all deal with drama no matter where we are. At home, school, on the streets, so the workspace is no exception. Back office politics have been part of the workplace for many moons now. Most of the time it’s in the form of what many people like to call”water cooler gossip.”

This will exist at every office. No office can go untouched of gossip. Here’s the thing, you don’t have to take part in gossiping about other coworkers at work. Just don’t waste your time dealing with lame, high school, and petty drama.

To avoid this, try removing yourself from the situation when it happens. For those who are new to the working world, here are ways to avoid office politics.

Step No. 1, just don’t get involved. The best and only way to really avoid having to deal with the back office politics is by not taking part in it. Just don’t get involved at all, no matter what.

Ignore the rumors. No matter where are you, people are going to say things about you. Ignore the rumors since that’s what they are, rumors. Ignore most of the gossip you hear about yourself since most people are just trying to get a reaction out of you, don’t give it to them. The way to get back at the gossips is to ignore them. They’re just looking to get

Don’t date anyone you work with. Most of the drama happens when coworkers start dating- then stop dating. Most work policies are against inner office romances so it’s not worth losing your job over. If companies don’t care, it still wouldn’t be the best idea.

The best way to avoid office politics is to pull yourself out of the gossip equation. There’s no reason for you to stoop to that level and gossip about your coworkers. Staying out of the drama will help make your workday go so much better and faster.

Getting Interested in Politics

People always hear someone say that they would have voted in an election had they known anything about the candidate and where he stands. Others hear about how people are just unable to get into politics. These are the same people that are always complaining about the outcome as well. Not matter what the excuse is, they’re always going to be lame.

There shouldn’t be any excuses for why people can’t get informed about politics and being proactive in voting during the elections. A person’s lack of interest in politics shouldn’t keep other tax-paying citizens away from learning about what is really going on in our country.

The first step in getting interested in politics is by watching or reading what’s going on in the news. Keeping up with the news is really the only way to know what’s going on in politics. Use all this information to decide on your own political opinions.

Do some investigating. While this falls under reading the news, it’s important to find whatever information you can on the main political players. This takes more than just reading your local newspaper, go online and find out more information. The more information you find, the better.

Find out how the issues in the world are affecting you. You want to know which person is looking out for your best interest. Those decisions will affect yourself and your life. It’s important to know this information.

Discuss the issues and politics with others. Be careful who you chat with, some people can get into heated arguments when talking politics. There’s no harm in finding out what other people think about politics and the issues. Doing this will help give you a better idea of what issues and stances you disagree and agree with and why.

Finally, pick a side. It won’t take long before you develop a strong opinion and interest in politics just like everyone else.

However, unscrupulous people and con artists will turn their desperation (and yours) into ill-gotten cash. These people take advantage of people’s vulnerabilities and a time of weakness. They use it as an opportunity to prey on people and make money. One of the most recent scams that’s going around different parts of the country is a bankruptcy scam.

There are a wide variety of bankruptcy scams underway. Some of the scams claim to completely eliminate the possibility of bankruptcy, while others claim that someone will file the claim for you for a fee and then they pocket the money and never file the claim.

The best way to avoid a bankruptcy scam is to inform yourself about the finer points of bankruptcy proceedings so that you don’t fall victim to these types of scams. Here’s some general information about bankruptcy.

All information is free. You have the right to gain general information about filing bankruptcy. Whether it’s getting Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 information, you have the right to have access to that information free of charge. You should never pay to receiving pamphlets or information packets on bankruptcy.

All fees are paid to the court or creditors. Fees and debts when they are paid are usually paid to a general collection agency. This means that if a person is asking for all checks to be written out to them, it could be a scam.

Thinking Unstained by Greed

Let’s define some words. Consumerism: The concept that expanding consumption of goods is advantageous to the economy. Preoccupation with or emphasis on consuming goods. In other words, believing that using things up is healthy for the system in which we thrive. Let’s go further. Two words that are synonyms for preoccupation: fixation and obsession. Obsession: to dominate or excessively preoccupy the thoughts, feelings, or desires of; haunt.

Consumers are haunted to consume. Excessive consumption happens to match the definition for greed: excessive or rapacious desire, esp. for wealth or possessions; avarice; covetousness.

The world economy is based entirely on greed. Oh. Really? Did your thinking become just a bit clearer on the subject? Are you climbing out from under your rock called delusion? The system you support is based on greed. What does that tell you about those most driven to lead in this system? Do you buy the idea that they are in their ivory towers to give? Think again and wise up.

Marx is not a very popular subject in this world today. That’s because his ideals were twisted by greed. Marxism was not evil. The twisted use of it was. Ironically, those countries that professed to be communist eventually turned to what Lenin despised the most. Capitalistic Fascism. Too harsh? Too radical for your blood? Did it wake you up just a little bit?

There are two basic extremes in the universe: Black and White. To neutralize them means the end of all that is. How do you keep the two extremes without becoming unhealthy? By accepting that both are good for each other and that one alone is death.

If you draw a circle and place Communism on one side and Capitalism on the other, it is much like the symbol for Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang represents the constant battle between black and white and the balance that must be struck to allow both to live. Only one act has ever been proven to allow balance of both without one destroying the other: Giving. Too tough to swallow? Oh, OK. Go back under your rock now.

Fear

When you were a child, your dad warned you about things like electrical sockets and hot burners. To sink it in, he may have scolded you firmly or even slapped your hand when you came anywhere near those items. The behavior modification finally worked. You stayed away.

A few years later the same warnings came about sharp knives with a voice that was similar to the one that slapped your hand over the electrical receptacle. You remembered that well. That same parental warning system fired off at intervals over situations surrounding bicycles, traffic, and those kids who were always getting in trouble.

Ten years later, your dad, who was also a track coach, tried to give you some extra training on the weekend. It lasted five minutes. His coaching voice was the exact voice he used when you reached for the electrical receptacle. The training was complete. No matter how much logic and insight you had, you could not override the immediate reaction to that tone of voice. You even went to a track practice when he coached. You saw the kids reacting positively to the commanding boom. They didn’t hide and run. They became cohesive and bonded as a group. That’s what coaches do, right? Not for you. You went back to the car and sat it out there.

It’s now thirty years later. You are listening to the news. A broadcast is doing it again: releasing another barrage of information concerning a possible terrorist attack. You know in your logical mind that it’s a ruse. You realize that fear is the number one tactic used by corrupt governments to keep the average person in line and not questioning. The news angers you so you turn it off.

As you are walking to the store, you remember all the history you read about manipulations of the human mind created to make people think they were in danger when there was no danger. Shaking your head, you mutter to yourself. “It’s all crap.” You pick up the extra deadbolt for the door, pay for it, and wander home again.
